Boy Bleach Release “The Beautiful Blue” EP.
East London’s Boy Bleach have today released their politically scathing new EP The Beautiful Blue, out now on Nettwerk. Listen HERE.
Speaking about the EP, the band say “‘The Beautiful Blue’ is pretty loaded with class issues and working-class perspectives. It speaks on the lived experience of our generation, with the essence of the generations that came before us in the same position. We wanted this project to criticise the current state of affairs in Britain - socio-politically, economically etc. but from a place that felt intrinsically our own. We attacked everything with a glare of realism rather than idealism. It’s very British, very working class, it’s youthful and progressive but in a paradoxically aggressive and brutal manner. It isn’t necessarily respectful, it’s scathing and punk in its messaging."
The Beautiful Blue features the singles England, Sun Cream, Blood Honey, and If You Want To.

Boy Bleach are an East London born-and-raised alternative group made up of two sets of brothers (Lou & Jimi / James & Nick) and best friend JJ. A musically eclectic group of council boys, a Portuguese immigrant and cockney-blooded Welsh lads. Talented musicians in their own right, their Brit-icised alt-rock/punk sound is as diverse as their musical heroes – everything from Depeche Mode, Garbage, Blur, The Clash and Pistols to Kano and Gorillaz.
