Linkin Park Release New Single "Heavy Is the Crown" as Official Anthem for League of Legends World Championship

Linkin Park - "From Zero"

Nu-metal icons Linkin Park have dropped their latest single, "Heavy Is the Crown," which serves as the official anthem for this year’s League of Legends World Championship. The powerful track showcases the band’s signature blend of hard-hitting lyrics and dynamic instrumentation, making it a fitting anthem for the epic gaming event.

In the song, Emily Armstrong passionately delivers the line, “This is what you asked for, heavy is the crown/ Fire in the sunrise, ashes rainin' down,” before launching into a raw and emotional chorus. She also pays tribute to one of Linkin Park’s classic hits, referencing their 2007 Minutes to Midnight track "Bleed It Out" with the lyrics, “Try to hold it in, but it keeps bleeding out.”

"Heavy Is the Crown" marks the band’s first-ever collaboration with Riot Games, the creators of the wildly popular League of Legends, and gives fans a taste of Linkin Park’s upcoming eighth studio album, From Zero, set for release on November 15th. This record will be their first since 2017, and earlier this month, they shared its lead single, "The Emptiness Machine."
