On Saturday, 17 May, Melbourne indie-pop gem Tamara & the Dreams returns with her first headline show of the year, officially launching her long-awaited single 'Successful Bisexual' at Melbourne's Merri Creek Tavern.

'Successful Bisexual' is a frantic, heart-on-sleeve anthem about chasing experience, embracing desire, and living life to the fullest—with Tamara’s signature blend of wit and sincerity at its core.

Live, these themes take on a new dimension, delivered with the unfiltered honesty and emotional force that has earned Tamara a cult following. With support from glam-rock outfit Pollyman, the night promises catharsis, chaos, and a celebration of coming into one’s own.

Says Tamara of the single launch: "I love being part of the music community in Melbourne/Naarm. It’s given me a place to belong and lifelong friends, and it has allowed me to fly and be myself. I’m so grateful for my bandmates and everyone else who makes up the community of dreams around my songs cause there’s no Tamara without them. I’ve met so many amazing people in bandrooms and smokers' areas, and I hope I never stop. So excited to celebrate the Successful Bisexual era properly (also, you’re not ready for this merch)"

With Tamara’s signature blend of wit and sincerity, 'Successful Bisexual' captures the magic of self-discovery: the exhilarating journey of becoming who you truly are. “I wrote the song into my voice memo app on a ferry while backpacking in the Greek Islands,” Tamara explains. “After so many years of not feeling comfortable in my skin I finally felt ‘me’ — I finally felt confident, hot, independent — like I had ‘come of age’.”
