DOPE LEMON, the award-winning project of acclaimed Australian musician Angus Stone, returns with a captivating new single, ‘Golden Wolf’. Blending indie-rock with hints of psychedelic soul, the track takes listeners on a deeply introspective journey through themes of life, death, and the mysteries beyond. The release follows DOPE LEMON's ARIA Award nomination for his album Kimosabè in the Best Blues and Roots category.

Speaking on the single, DOPE LEMON shares: “This song was written about and inspired by the next life. What we’ll take with us, and what and who will lead us there? Perhaps, in this case—the golden wolf.”

The single delivers a hypnotic blend of soulful melodies paired with Stone’s signature storytelling, underscored by themes of transcendence and renewal. The poignant lyrics of ‘Golden Wolf’ highlight the song’s meditative essence: “Golden Wolf, take us higher; We want to be the best that we can be in this life… or the next one.”

‘Golden Wolf’ marks the beginning of a highly anticipated new chapter for DOPE LEMON, following the success of Kimosabè—his revered 2023 album that secured a #9 spot on the ARIA charts as well as a nomination, in addition to accolades like the AIR Award for Best Independent Blues & Roots Album.

On the live front, DOPE LEMON has headlined sold-out tours across Australia, North America, and Europe—including appearances at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and most recently joining Post Malone on the Australian leg of his 2023 arena tour. DOPE LEMON has also gained recognition for collaborations with revered Australian bands such as Winston Surfshirt and co-writing credits with the likes of  Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
