Gojira release Olympic opening ceremony song "Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça Ira)"

@gojira

Last month, Gojira stunned the world with a powerhouse performance at the Olympic opening ceremonies, blending heavy riffs and nods to the decapitated French bourgeoisie. Now, the legendary French metal band is set to thrill fans again with the official streaming release of their Olympics-exclusive single, “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça Ira).”

The newly released studio version of Gojira’s collaboration with opera singer Marina Viotti — who is no stranger to the metal scene — reimagines the French Revolution anthem “Ah! Ça Ira” with syncopated riffs, piercing squeals, death growls, and a breakdown filled with distorted operatic cries.
