Ocean Grove Unveil New Single 'RAINDROP' and Announce Upcoming Album "ODDWORLD"

Naarm/Melbourne heavyweights Ocean Grove are back with exciting news and a fresh release. Alongside dropping their third single of the new era, ‘RAINDROP’ (listen below), the band has officially announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated fourth studio album. Produced by Sam Bassal of Ocean Grove, with creative input from studio collaborators Luke Holmes and Running Touch, the album—titled ODDWORLD—promises to explore the full spectrum of the band’s diverse sound.

As for their latest single, ‘RAINDROP’ offers a shift from the nu-metal energy of the previous singles ‘FLY AWAY’ and ‘MY DISASTER’, featuring contributions from original frontman and studio member Luke Holmes. The track hints at the dynamic range Ocean Grove continues to explore in this new era.

In a press statement, frontman Dale Tanner explains the meaning behind the album: “The name says it all: ODDWORLD. This is Oddworld Music, period. For over a decade, we’ve resisted outside attempts to define or box in our sound. This album is a definitive statement for Ocean Grove—our signature sound, and the foundation from which all future music will evolve. It’s a return to our experimental and unconventional roots while fearlessly charging into a new era.”

Tanner adds, “The Oddworld Collective came together in full force during the writing and recording process of this album. For the first time in a while, we experienced unfiltered and untamed collaboration from every individual who has ever been, or will ever be, part of Ocean Grove’s sound. Working together in the same room felt like the early days, reminiscent of when we created the Black Label EP and our debut album The Rhapsody Tapes.”
