Falling In Reverse | Rod Laver Arena

It’s been a hectic few years for Falling In Reverse, I remember seeing them for the first time in Australia during Soundwave 2015 in Melbourne, again in 2016 on their first headliner, a festival slot Good Things 2019 & now headlining Rod Laver Arena, didn’t have that on my 2025 bingo card but here we are. FIR brought a stacked lineup to Australia including the likes of hard rock outfit Black Veil Brides & rap rock act Hollywood Undead. I unfortunately missed out on Hollywood Undead due to traffic but we made it in time for Black Veil Brides electric set, playing a track from every major release, BVB brought huge stadium vibes to Rod Laver, Andy Biersack is an sensational vocalist, his tone & range is insane, consistently bringing the audience in & givingthem the moment they deserve with classic songs like ‘Knives & Pens’ Guitarists Jinx & Jake showed off their immense talent with riffs galore throughout the set, lots of energy & teamwork bouncing off each other. Lonny & Christian bringing in the back end bass & drum with absolute precision, never faulting & keeping the pace with every song.

Moving onto the main event, Falling In Reverse with a hilarious intro walking onto stage as Highway To Hell played, frontman Ronnie came onto the stage brought prelude to life, spotlight shining as the rest of the band joined in, straight into Zombified.
With lots of pyro & flames throughout, you could feel the heat from the band & pyro itself. The band went through their whole catalogue, bringing in older hits like The Drug In Me Is You & newer tracks like Ronald, the set was non-stop with very little time to breathe. Ending the show with a standout track Watch The World Burn was just the perfect way to end an insane night for the act.

Ronnie is THAT frontman, he’s able to jump back and forth from rapping, to harmonic singing to rough screams effortlessly. Drum Luke can keep a beat, after hearing him many years ago in metalcore bands & his own solo music, that man shows immense talent. Christian & touring guitarist Marc (from metalcore act Veil Of Maya) brought so much fun & stage presence under Ronnie persona. FIR was built for arena/stadium shows, they show they’re made for the big stage, from set design, lighting, visuals & on stage banter, this band has it all. Seeing them grow from 2015 to now is a staggering example of band who can level up every release to be where they are now.
